Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use WayMate, the app for cruising sailors. WayMate is provided by Cafyra GmbH, Bei den Rauhen Bergen 18, 22927 Grosshansdorf, Germany.
Who can use WayMate
You need to be 16 or older.
Be a good shipmate
No harassment, spam or fake profiles. You can report messages, profiles and groups in the app. We review reports, and we can remove content and block accounts that break these rules.
WayMate is not a navigation aid
Positions in WayMate can be delayed or wrong. Always navigate with proper charts and instruments, and never rely on WayMate to avoid collisions or other dangers.
Your content
You own what you post in WayMate: your profile, photos, posts, comments and messages. You give Cafyra GmbH the right to store, show and send it in the app, as far as that is needed to run WayMate. This right ends when you delete the content or your account, except that chat messages stay visible to the other people in the chat.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.
Changes to these terms
The version of these terms is shown at the top of this page. When we change them, we show the new version in the app and ask you to accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
